State of art slewing rings
Slewing rings, i.e. bearing rings with a construction that is most often characterized by the possibility of bolting individual elements to two different load-bearing parts, the bearing device. One part is rotatable (for example a turret of a tank) and one is fixed (the remaining body).
Often one of the rings has a gearing, which at the same time can be part of the drive system.
Among the radial bearings, we distinguish several main types, which are divided mainly due to the type of rolling elements, such as:
– Ball
– Roller
– Crossed
And also distinguish them due to the number of rows of rolling elements, which usually ranges from one to three.
In our machining center near the town of Vicenza, it has the capability to produce coronary bearings up to 4,000 millimeters in diameter!
Among the applications to which we have already delivered bearings, there are devices such as:
– Wind power stations
– Machining centers
– Radar towers
– Service cranes
– Tower cranes
– Harbor cranes
